Earl Lawson and Kimberly Myers
A lifetime Talladega County resident, Earl Lawson graduated from Winterboro High School in 1968 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy for seven years of service that overlapped with the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from FCI Talladega in 2001 after a career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
After taking up dancing in 1995, Earl and his wife Marilyn quickly found a niche as members and 13-year instructors at a local dance club, where he also served as President for several years. They performed alongside the club for causes and events such as the Heart Association, the Cerebral Palsy Telethon, and Sunshine Saturday. He is delighted by the opportunity to dance again and contribute to Dancing with ‘Dega Stars.
